well i was bored and googled my name and i actually got a link on a people searching site that had my age my adress my phone number AND a picture of me!! !! !! !! !! i scared how do they get that info ?

myspace or facebook might be one place where they get info.

Do you have your own listing in the phone book or white pages? They probably cross matched your facebook/myspace with your phone/address details from there.


People could find my workplace via googling me, but it appears I don't turn up in the search listings anymore 8).

if it was This site it gets it from social networking site/newspaper article and other publicly accessible web content that would other wise be very hard to find.

If it was This site it gets it from public records

there are other site in the category of the above site, and a few others like the first site but i just listed the first two that came to mind.

sites like those are why i avoid facebook/myspace/twitter.

it is surprising (and more than a bit unnerving) what can be found with a simple web search. Hence the saying "once it is out there it is out there".
