I was at my little sister's orchestra concert this evening (my sister is in the 5th grade), and before the performance, the orchestra director ordered all her students to turn off their cell phones.

That made me feel old, because when I was in the 5th grade (c. 2002-2003), none of my teachers ever had to tell us to turn off our cell phones because none of us even had them!

No one in my high school had a cell phone.

I win.

Yeah, but seeing that I'm reminiscing over the fact that none of my classmates eight years ago had cell phones whereas all my sister's classmates have them these days is definitely an interesting tidbit to take note of.
