I know, I did try to state this before, but I couldn't get it out the right way.

It has been observed that some Australians have left Wrongplanet over time. I realize that's their preference, but do you find contrasting the number of them here now strange?

And when was "then"? And are you asking if people think the australians themselves are strange (an awful question to which I say NO) or the fact that some of them have left (which in and of itself is a strange question?)?

No, I was asking if any of you thought the fact that so many Australians left was strange.

I forget what it was, but someone said that Australia should have a nickname with some AS influence in it. That was a long time ago. This person may or may not have left the forum.

This is just a random question here, so that's why I posted it in the Random Discussion forum.

I don't know, I've only just joined this year. Before that the only overseas forums I looked at were Aspergian Island and GRASP.

I thought this was a good one as there seem to be a lot of people here, compared to the two I've just mentioned. Most of the other new Aussies here are from Victoria, not Queensland, well that's my impression, I haven't gone through and physically counted them!

Queensland is home to Tony Attwood btw.

Can you clarify your question a bit further please, as to when "then" was?

As blackduck said - we have a high rate of uptake of computer usage, it was actually a question on our last census in 2001, and we are about to do another census, on the 8 Aug 2006. This year we have the option of doing an "e-Census" ie doing the census online.

There was a time in which a person on this forum, I don't remember who, that gave Australia a very interesting nickname having to do with AS. I don't remember what that was either.

I have been part of this forum for over two years now. It has changed a lot, and it is a lot different now than it used to be. The other people who used to be here have gone elsewhere. For obvious reasons, I will not mention where.

There are quite a few people who have left Wrongplanet since I first joined, and quite a few of them are Australian.

But, the good news is, a lot of good people are here, Alex included. Therefore, I did not intend to generalize, stereotype, frustrate or let anyone take offense to anything. I just wanted to make an observation, and express what is on my mind.

Thank you all for taking this so nicely!

That's not the name I am thinking of, but I can see that.
