Need input on a survey for my Mass Communications course.
For my Mass Communications course I have to survey random people and ask the me the following questions, and was wondering if the good people of the escapist if they could take the time to fill out the survey below:
1. How and to what extent has mass communication and mass media influenced you?
2. Please provide an example?
3.What form of mass communication do you think is least effective.

Do you realize that that first question is huge and would require an essay to answer properly? I have condensed it down to its single greatest influence, but the question is really too big for a survey.
1. How and to what extent has mass communication and mass media influenced you?
It has contributed greatly to my misanthropy by convincing me that most people are stupid and/or blind and the rest use this to manipulate the first group as much as they can.
2. Please provide an example?
Use of emotional ploys in political campaigns, news media, and advertising in order to convince people that they think/believe/want/need something.
3.What form of mass communication do you think is least effective.
Newspapers.

1. How and to what extent has mass communication and mass media influenced you?
It has made me lazy. I no longer have to look for news, it looks for me. It has caused me to act and feel knowledgable about affairs without bothering to question it or perform my own research
2. Please provide an example?
Politics. Like many people, I am very opinionated when it comes to politics yet have virtually no credible knowledge on the subject.
3.What form of mass communication do you think is least effective.
Believe it or not, the web. Massively overated in my opinon. I don't think any medium matches the power of TV, radio, or newpapers. I'm confident that at least 50% of the population take the national TV news bulletin as gospel when in reality they litterally could be telling us anything they want. In fact many documentaries such as Dispatches and McIntyre Uncovered and conversations from real people that have seen the world through their own eyes have proved otherwise

How honest of you.
