Well, a couple of you who are friends with me on Facebook might have seen that I lost my jacket about 1.5 weeks ago.
Anyways, it's been found, and I'm trying to figure out a way to write on the person's Facebook wall, asking about when it should be retrieved...
Do you think that this is fine; not too pushy or needy? Or is it too nonchalant?

In English...

Quote:
Hey, ____ told me that you have my jacket from the swim meet (black North Face). I think I see you between third and fourth periods (in H building); so do you think I could get it from you then? Thanks.

Note: the ____ is actually filled with the appropriate name.

I'd maybe make the thanks a little more emphatic. Thanks very much! Or add a smiley if that's what you go in for ^_^

Are you sure? Because it does not seem like it... unless the guy's name is double underscore. :?

In the actual message I was sending to the guy who picked it up, the kid who told me about the jacket is mentioned by means of his name.

(It was a quadruple, by the way.)

The guy's name is quadruple but he spells it double underscore?

Weird, I bet his parents were Monty Python fans...

No.
This was intended as a relatively serious thread; guess I should have posted in another subforum. But which...

No... It's my bad. Sorry.

On the bright side--at least my responses are keeping it bumped up...

On topic: I think your message is fine.
