I had my headphones on my Ipod and dad said it was too loud that it'd damage my ears. So I was curious if others like there Ipod music loud. :-) I LOVE Loud! My tv. is usually 20-30 volume for shows I enjoy while 15 on regular stuff. :-) Mom/Dad think it's too loud. :-)

Loud music can be euphoric but it's like smoking. One cigarette isn't going to do you in but years down the road, you'd wished that you never smoked.

Oh and tinnitus can sometimes lead to suicide.

The choice is yours.

I used to play my music loud, but I don't do that anymore. I'm living in an apartment for one thing and I don't want to lose my hearing for another thing.

It really depends on which song is playing and which mood I'm in :D. If I'm happy I'll turn it right up for some good old rock. If I'm sad I'll have it on quietly. I always, always have my headphones in though, I won't play it through the speakers because I'm embarassed about my music .

Sometimes yes to block out what people are saying but then at times, my ears just cannot handle full blast.

Most of the time I just keep my music down to the volume just above to where I can just barely hear. Actually it's interesting, with the volume lower I can hear more of the song :?.

Really though, my mother listens to blaring music in her car and everywhere else. She's in her mid 40's and she has hearing problems. My grandmother has her whole life (She's in her mid/late 60's) and she's working close to becoming def. Not to mention everyone finds it annoying that they have to repeat everything they say to her.

I find hearing to be my most valued sense so I have no intention of losing it... especially losing it from self induced means.

The only time I have my headphones on loud is every once in awhile I'll be in public and get sensory overload from all of the people and noise. I'll then crank the music up loud and try and pretend I'm all alone... that doesn't happen often though :|.

Yes, I love my music loud because it blocks out all other sounds. It's better that way when you're trying to ignore everything going on around you and want to daydream to the music. It might be causing me to lose my hearing though, because I find that I often have to ask people to repeat themselves when they talk to me.

I often wonder the exact same thing. It's the most annoying thing in the world when one side blows out.

Yes, in order to drown out the other sounds.

I have better than average hearing; might be related to being born with low vision. I usually keep the volume on my TV low but when I'm listening to music with my headphones It may be low to full blast. It depends on what else I'm doing & background noises. I think I have some characteristic of sensory integration disorder. I can have problems making out sounds if they are low to high volume sometimes but other times I can hear very low sounds that most people cant hear with no problem. Outside noises can be very distracting to. I sometimes have the volume on high when listening to music on watching vids on computer with my headphones on in order to make everything out & hear it OK but other times I can be listening to the same stuff & hear everything fine when the volume is very low. Not sure if this makes sense :?

I listen to it relatively loud, however appropriate to the setting things are. But, I also have the volume limiter function on, so it automatically knocks off the top part of the range.
