For the longest time, my back has been sensitive to touch. Seems like it's just my back because I can experience the things that aggravate my back anywhere else on my body.

It's usually when I go to sit on the corner of the bed and there might be something like a basket behind me. I don't know how far away from me it is after I sit down and when I lean back, I expect to come into contact with the basket and that anticipation is enough to but my back muscles into some kind of spasm and it kind of tickles in a weird way.

Also, when I'm lying down in bed, sometimes my blanket will touch my back just so and the tickling spasm will occur and I have to roll over. Consistent, expected pressure doesn't seem to bother me like lying on my back or sitting in a chair.

Yes! Even the slightest pressure will make the muscles in my back convulse. I have no trouble with having my back against a chair or as you say consistent expected pressure but anything that pokes is going to make my skin crawl, particularly around my back ribs. You know how your knee feels when you tap it to test your reflexes? That's how it feels to me. Of course there's always some asshat around who thinks it's funny to come up behind you and poke you just to watch your reaction. Errgh.

there's a scene in 1-8-7 that depicts this perfectly. SLJ's character had previously been stabbed or shot in the back while in class and at his new school as a teacher, someone throws a piece of paper at him and hits his back. He convulses for a second because of it.

Ohh, I get this! I have one small spot that causes me to do this. The way it was found was kind of hilarious, though. I didn't even realize I had this spot until I was fourteen, when my friend walked up and gave me a small poke in the back, and it shot through me like electricity. Of course, trying to rediscover this spot then became a small source of amusement. :?

I have got a very sensitive back in general, though. Light touches on my back evoke the strongest physical sensation from me. It can be overwhelming and painful or it can be very nice. Or a combination of the two.
