I live in a country where we don't traditionally celebrate Valentine's Day, and I have a few questions for those who are used to this tradition.

Are Valentine's greetings something you only send you boy/girl-friend, or are they something you send to friends as well?
If you had a good friend in another country would you expect them to send you a card or a greeting? Would it be hurtful if they didn't?
Would it make you think they liked you romantically (which isn't the case here)?

I don't wanna hurt them and I don't wanna give them the wrong idea.

i think the idea is you send them anonymously to the object of your affection, or between people already romantically involved.. but i don't know.

Okay, thank you very much, both of you. Your replies were very helpful. It wouldn't be appropriate to send to the ones I had in mind then.
ty :D

I always send my best friend a valentines card, but I send him an e-card. I send one which is mostly a friendship thing but I also send him one because I do actually love him lol.
