Do any of you have a song playing in your head when you first wake up? I'd say 8/10 mornings, when I first wake up, I've already got a song going through my head. Sometimes I can ascertain why, but sometimes it's just random. I thought it might be interesting to see what kind of tunes you wake up to.

This morning it was Alice Cooper's "House of Fire". I remember hearing the song on the radio earlier in the day at work, and actually spent several minutes critically analyzing it. (Decided it was a lousy song with a great chorus.)

And I couldn't get it out of my head until I got to work again and turned on the radio again.

This morning, I woke up to Ozzy Osbourne - "Mama, I'm Coming Home". But oddly enough, just that line from the chorus...for the life of me I couldn't remember anything else from the song.

So I laid there for a couple minutes trying to recall, when suddenly I started hearing "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You", as originally performed by Frankie Valli. 8O (WTF?) (It's been several weeks since I've heard this song. My kids enjoy the movie "Son of the Mask", and this song is performed in several different flavors there.) I can't stand this song, so I had to kill two birds with one stone, by posting this message while intentionally erasing Valli by listening to The Doobie Brothers - "The Doctor". 8)

I woke up a little while ago, and Ke$ha's "Tik Tok" has been stuck in my head ever since. It has a tendency to get stuck in my head a lot.

Man, I'm definitely a child of the '80s! The song going through my mind this morning when I woke up was Maxine Nightingale - "Lead Me On".

Good morning. After I read my first thread in Random Discussion this morning, this song popped in my mind. :?

I'd never even heard of her, so out of curiosity I found that song on YouTube, and then listened to a few more of her songs. She's a very beautiful and talented woman. :D

Now I'm really dating myself...this morning's musical selection was Manfred Mann's Earth Band - 'Spirits in the Night'.

I'm definitely seeing a slight pattern here, in that it seems most of the songs that I find myself waking up to are songs from when I was in my teens or early 20s. (I'm 46 now.) I'm also beginning to see how the song I wake up to tends to set the mood of the day...if the song is mellow, I'm in a pretty relaxed mood all day. But if the song is more upbeat, I tend to be somewhat more hyperactive.

Here's what I woke up to this morning. And while I've never seen this YouTube video, I really like the visual imagery that was used.
