when i first saw it i burst out laughing not knowing wether or not it was real or not it had in big letters Psoriasis Speaks it was an ad about the skin condition psoriasis its not a funny condition its just i thought it ironic because it sounded so much like autism speaks and i see this add all the time on wrongplanet its weird and ironic

No. But I keep getting something about "amazing news" (or was it "shocking news") about a canadian mother who lost 46 lbs by following one simple rule. It shows a flabby belly overhanging tight jeans (presumably the before picture) and a trimmer "mum" (presumably the after picture). I have yet to click to discover what that fantastic rule is.

I don't know how anyone can bear to navigate the internet without utilizing AdBlock. It's so flashy and movey and busy and noisy and offensive. I'd probably not use it much at all and return to my bookish world if there were no AdBlock.

Maybe I should uninstall it.

I do all my browsing using Firefox, and have the AdBlock Plus plug-in, which prevents all banner advertisements. I've only been here a few weeks, and wasn't even aware there were ads here. I had to turn the AdBlock off to even see what you were talking about.

I've seen that one as well.

I get the psoriasis one now and then. It is kinda funny.

"My date's so open and honest. Should I mention my psoriasis?"
Or something like that.

I'm no dating authority, but I wouldnt suggest talking about one's psoriasis on a date.

Use ABP. Blocking ads is the best thing ever.

Like a couple of others suggested, download ABP.

The "1 simple rule" is a come on for phony "acai berry pills" that not only don't work but that provide entree to your credit card for large withdrawals from such by the promoters. See my post in the WrongPlanet.net discussion forum. Of course, whatever makes money for Alex. He doesn't seem to care.

As for Psoriasis Speaks, yeah I noticed that one. The "Autism Speaks" shtick must be successful. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Take a bow, Autism Speaks, you are giving confidence to people with skin conditions! Not what you intended? Oh well.
