I just started last night
Hoping to learn focus and sociability
Its pretty fun
A little weird when they keep telling you to keep your eyes up
But I guess its a good reminder
And the touching is a little uncomfortable
But I got to wear a ki
And throw someone
Has martial arts helped anybody with their AS

not jiu jutsu/jitsu but i have studied karate as a youngster. helped my focus immensely and gave me a moral grounding. touching was a bit uncomfortable for me too. if you haven't already, i'd suggest looking up Royce Gracie & Gracie jiu jitsu. a very effective and world renowned brazilian school. of course, there are many fine japanese schools but i figured they'd be too obvious hope you continue to enjoy it

Very familiar with Gracie
I love MMA
I am taking Hawaiian/Japanese
A lot of throwing and falls
I think the thing that sets it apart from others is
The Hawaiian school believes in passing on the art
So the classes are free
Im still a little unsure on it
But its twice a week for free
Thank you for your input

ahh ok. well i figured it was worth mentioning, seeing his first few ufc fights really enlightened me, gracie jiu jitsu was unstoppable back then. sounds like the hawaiian school has a really good philosophy. maybe not the 'perfect' art for you personally, time will tell i guess, but seems a great place to start. you're most welcome btw
