I dont know if thats the proper term
But with Alzheimers
As the sun sets the condition worsens
I feel this way sometimes
Kind of Lycanthropic

I am the opposite, I function better when theres less light such as overcast days or at night. i dont know why, its because it feels like less is expected of me and its cooler (I live in hot Hawaii) so I can go about without overheating more.

If left to my own devices, I'm nocturnal. Bright lights, heat, and noise bothers me. Hence, nice, cool, dark, people-less (or reduced load) times are best. Love cloudy days, hate the sun.

This is what I am talking about
My aspie werewolf comes out
And it looks for things to do
Like build things out of duct tape
And coat hangers
And search wildly through my car for things to play with
Its a blackhole like my bedroom floor can be
I dont sleep so much
I moved in recently with my parents
And I used to stay up until like 6 or 7 am then sleep when everyone would leave
I was afraid to sleep when people were around
Thought I might say something secret in my sleep

I hope Im not regressing
At my apartment I was more calm
More freedom

I get pretty weird if I don't chat to people for a while, and extremely weird if I'm tired, but night times my most mentally tuned time :)

Well actually sundowning is described in relation to dementia and psychosis. I don't know whether the term could be used freely for any mental disturbances or symptom aggravations that occur in late afternoon, evening and night.

Anyway, after, say, 10 pm I am pretty much incommunicado. I can concentrate, I can work, but can't relate to people (um, not that I am very sociable at any time of the day). It is basically impossible to argue with me late in the evening or settle any kind of thing as I might throw a tantrum. My sensory trouble peaks, my OCD features increase tenfold too and my sense of humour has already gone to bed by 10 o'clock in the evening.
Honestly, I have never been able to go out for dinner with a date, then take them home and make them stay for a cup of coffee or whatever. I can hardly stand people around me late in the evening.

As far as I have noticed this has nothing to do with how I spent the day, it just happens regardless of whether I am tired or not. I go to bed at the first sign that I might shout or throw something and even if I have to get up an hour later, I am already calm and ready to tackle whatever the problem was.

I'm best after the summer solstice, that the days start getting shorter. The less day light there is, the better I feel, and the more energy I have. I also like gloomy, cloudy days. Once the sun sets, I like to be alone, and it's the time of the day I enjoy most, by myself, reading, listening to music, working on my projects.

The sun (or lack of) has a HUGE effect on me. I mean, it does for everyone, but I know it's stronger for me than your average person.

I always preferred working third-shift whenever I could.

I like the light and feel more focused and energetic. That's indirect light though, I hate being out in the blazing sun.

I am definitely a night owl, but I wouldn't say my symptoms worsen at night. I think they are worse during the day, and I think that has to do with the sheer number of anxiety-inducing things that are present during the day. At night I am left alone and can relax and do what I like.
