I think the ad at the top of he page is probably the MOST ANNOYING AD....ever.
It's not bright or flashy, and it doesn't even have a lot of words.
Yet.
It gets on your nerves because it is ALWAYS THERE.
Anyone got any better examples? Complaints? Compliments?
Idk, I was bored, and I just wanted to express my general disdain for this particular ad.

I'd like to have some more stuff to do on the internet. When you think about it, it is all pretty the same things over and over again, just repackaged. Where is all the fun in that? Maybe something like controlling little remote cars from your keyboard in a crash-up derby or we could have an internet war with lines drawn based on country is something that could create some excitement. I mean just how many people can you friend or how much dirty stuff can you look at before it becomes dull and repetitive? The internet is really overrated as an entertainment communication resource.

Ads at the top switch constantly, so I must say I have no idea what you're talking about.
Also, you can download an ad blocker.

@Jmnixon95 Ad-blockers block too many sites

@ Sluice, that would be pretty cool with the cars or whatever. Thought I don't look at dirty things, I understand your boredom.
There are more things to the internet than that though, you can:
*Look for funny things
*Create things
*As you said, socialize
*Vent
*Prove how smart or good at something you are
*Randomly search

and so much more....
But it would be nice to see some more interactive things

I'm just glad there are no more noisy animals ads. Besides that, I ignore most ads as they all seem to have an ulterior motive in the first place.

Pondering, when were there animal ads?
On my computer there is a fat lady and they show her stomach shrinking.

I get this flashy diet ad on the top of my screen sometimes. I just ignore it.

@CockneyRebel
That is the ad that I am talking about.

I usually ignore it, but for some reason yesterday it bugged me.

Probably about a couple months back. I'm so glad they are gone. Out of nowhere there would be a bunch of loud monkey and elephant noises coming out of my speakers and it was difficult to know what ad they were coming from. Another issue was it seemed like they never stopped once they began. You would have to go to a different WP page and some times go through multiple pages just to get a different ad. I would not be surprised if this ad disturbed a lot of the highly sound sensitive people here on WP, which could explain why we don't have anymore of those gross ads. (that I can tell).

That is what happens when you don't have private servers to pay about $40 a month for....

I don't mind them but I am used to ad free forums.

No.
Not the right ones, such as ABP.
Only the crappy ones do.

Yea, but you gotta understand, I'm too lazy to figure that stuff out. Plus I wouldn't want to pay extra for that:

When I use Opera, I don't seem to get ads popping up at the top but when I use firefox, the ads I get are normally very irritating.
