some of the ads are just random and are here to make money and i understand the issue of the author needing money so i am ok with that. but the autism ads really make me feel like i am being screwed with. i don't want any corporate entities to be telling people what to think of themselves through advertising. moreover i don't want them stalking me with my ip adress to try to get me any local goddam manipulation. i am going to use a proxy while browsing this site from now on. so called information sites that misrepresent autistics are also advertised here. i dislike this.

The autism ads also bother me, as well.

I use adblock plus, as several sites I use have annoying adverts. I haven't had any problems with it blocking things I want to see.

I ignore them. They don't bother me too much. Some (but not all) are blocked anyway.

I highly recommend adblock plus. It's a free add on for firefox for those who don't know. Right now I'm in a net cafe and these fat belly scam ads are really irritating.

Notice how most of these scam ads are all like;
Mom learns to make $3000.00 a month working from home!!!1!!!1!!!0ne!! !! !!

Shame on you Alex for associating with the exploitation of desperate naive single mothers :shameonyou:

I started using it because I was having problems with some of the adds here. I would sometimes accidentally move my mouse over em & my page would be redirected or a pop-up window would come up or the add would have audio. AdBlock blocks all the adds on WP: but I have some problems on other sites. sometimes have to turn it off to DL off certain sites. It doesn't block a lot of adds it should; sometimes webpages redirect or pop-up pages come up

I'm not surprised you created an thread about it because there's literally tons of these threads, google it. ;)

Most of the times, I always say "use adblock."

What kind of scam do those ads run?
I figured it was a scam, but I've never checked what kind.

I don't know for certain because I've never clicked but it's probably a pyramid scheme where they sell you a bunch of crap to re sell and they probably have a registration fee.
