I liked Rain Man more. That guy was hilarious. Still, Temple Grandin was also a good movie.

Well, I chose Temple Grandin, as it is based on a real person who I admire. Plus Claire Danes was very good in it.
Rainman was ok.

I've never seen Temple Grandin, and I agree with the op Rainman is funny. He kept going "AAHHH AHHH AHHHH" at the end of every scene.

Question: What is the role everyone that's ever played a LFA or written for a LFA copied?

Answer: Rain man.

This is either a good or bad thing, depending on how you look at it.

On the one hand, Dustin Hoffman did an exceptional job. On the other, it adds to the media (and thus public) view of autism.

I've never seen Temple Grandin, though.

Susanna: You use me, you use Raymond, you use everybody.
Charlie: Using Raymond? Hey Raymond, am I using you? Am I using you, Raymond?
Raymond: Yeah.
Charlie: Shut up! He is answering a question from a half hour ago!

They did meet with a idiot savant when they made Rain Man. The real person though isnt as developed as in the movie. But the actual person is a computer for facts and dates and other stuff he has memorized.

Kim Peek is notable in this instance for having NOT been LFA. He was a savant, that much is certain.

The character was not completely based on him, but originally began with him.
