Happiness and Goals...ideas
I am going to college in about a month, but I don't want to stay on the computer all day anymore.
That is what I've done with most of my summer, but I feel like I need to do something else soon.
Plus, I just heard a talk about how goals make you happy.
So, I wanna ask, anyone have any ideas for goals I could try to accomplish?
I like drawing, reading, singing, signing....but it's hard to just do anything. I've already made a few running goals, and I read a few books without aim, there's not much I can do with singing is there?) and idk really what to set a goal for.....
Ideas anyone?????

Learn 5 new signs a week? Perfect a song a week? Keep your goals within your reach though is the main thing so you don't discourage yourself.

I'm glad you included some of the things you like to do in the post; some people don't really get all that far when they ask for ideas for goals because they just give a vague idea about their interests or possible areas that will have a goal happening.
So, as far as your interests/activities go, I see a few areas where I can suggest some goals.
With reading, I love setting goals. (Read this many books this season; this many this year; etc.) Sometimes with individual books (I'll finish this by Sunday, for example), but usually in a broader context. Perhaps you can set a goal for a number of books you'd like to read in a specific time frame.
With signing, perhaps learn a specific number of signs a day/week/month?
Singing (God, those words are so similar)... Find a song you really like, and if you can't sing it yet, work up to it and perhaps set a time by which you want to be able to sing it. Not really sure, as that isn't really much of an interest of mine. I just do so to myself.
With singing you could print out lyrics to songs you like and put them in a 'to learn' folder and then work on them one at a time. Then when you have them down put them in a 'completed' folder. This way you can see what songs you want to work on and what songs you have learned. I do this sort of thing with music, its useful because sometimes I forget what songs I know... plus I like to go back through the songs I know and just sort of go over them again and fine tune them. I guess that isn't specifically a goal but its an organizational thing that could help you set goals and actually see the progress you make.
