I don't need to be macho just because I'm a guy.

Really, I don't need to be macho just because I have a stick between my legs. That's just stupid.

I like your stance on this issue. I find macho guys to be a turn off, anyways.

I feel the same way Fishhook & I hate how people assume I'm gay because of that

Macho guys are jerks anyway

I'd say that I'm a healthy mixture of macho and feminine, I don't care about looking like a "tough guy" one bit. Its stupid and pointless and often just leads to stupid behaviour (fights, showing off, cockyness, stuff like that)
LOADS of people think I'm gay because I'm not one of these football loving beer drinking louts who like to fight with each other.

Um, traditionally masculine ("macho") men do not necessarily have to be jerks, any more than traditionally feminine women have to be jerks. It's mostly the ones who are putting on a desperate manly act to cover their deep insecurity, who turn out to be jerks. That's known as "Small Man Syndrome". The ones who just happen to be rough and rugged by nature are as nice as anyone else is.

But I do find it peculiar and annoying that people would assume your sexual preference without knowing you. An extremely macho guy has as much chance of being gay as a more androgynous-looking person. In fact the macho look is often especially sought after in gay clubs....LOL.

When I act macho(like on fb), it's usually because I'm joking. I am much more feminine than most men.

Traditional gender roles be damned. I'm a guy, and although the way I dress is pretty much masculine, I'm very androgynous (bordering on feminine) with much of my other mannerisms.

I think the masculine guys would be more apt to be gay because put their buts up in the air in front of a bunch other guys to make a foot-ball appear, they jump on top of each other & they change & shower in front of each other.

Around here, acting out feminine mannerisms and homosexual suggestions is a popular show of humour among extrovert, heterosexual males. When I think of one of my first good friends, out of a decade and a half of memories I usually remember him in drag.

Macho guys are so gross to me. I'll take an androgynous/feminine guy over a macho guy any day. 8)
