let's see, where to begin?

Well, she drown a couple of mice or other rodents like hamsters or something. They were the males and they used to eat their babies so instead of separating them, she drown them while I watched.

Once, I took a shower and had a bath towel wrapped around my waist to go to the living room (or off the loving room where my room was) to get some clothes. I had to step over a gate to geek a dog we had in the kitchen. Anyway, when I stepped back over the gate to get back to the bathroom, my mother saw my junk and said "woo hoo!"

She put me in foster care and a little while put my sisters in another foster home. A couple of years later, my mother took my sisters back but I had to remain in foster care.

Once, she hit me so hard, it broke her wrist.

When I was in the hospital, she took a vacation to Canada with my sisters but left me in the hospital. She couldn't have waited.

I was once trying to clean my room but she convinced herself that I was destroying my room and called the police. I had a terrible temper at the time and I didn't take nicely to having the cops called on me over something I wasn't doing so I stormed off and smashed a curio shelf she had.

I used to call every day from the foster home just to talk and say hi. She had to call my social worker and arrange a meeting between her, my foster parents, myself and my social worker in an attempt to limit my phone calls to one a week.

She accused me of beating her when she was dying with breast cancer. After a night in jail, she told the DA that I didn't do it.

Those among other reasons is why I hate my mother. Mostly because he abandoned me but took back my sisters.

Oh, once in family counseling, I called our family "dysfunctional" which we were and my mother took major issue with that. She even went as far as to call my sister's live-in boyfriend more of a son to her than I ever was. Kinda hard when you're stuck in a foster home to be a son to anyone.

... well damn.
mine only threatened me with foster care.
she's too much of a control freak to follow through with that kind of thing, though.
you okay?

Your mother put you in foster care over a shower? 8O

Sounds like you had one abusive mother.

I grew up in an alcoholic home but none of it compares to your story.

Sorry that happened to you. I only felt anger towards my mom for letting my dad act the way he did when he'd get drunk.

Just curious, what's your relationship with your father like? Did he and your mom get along?

In either case, she definately sounds like she's got some issues.

my father and I get along pretty well despite some of the $*1# he's pulled throughout the years.

He and my mother rarely got along. I remember he once saying in that evil scowl of his, "I HATE your mother!"

Maybe your mother dislikes you because you remind her of your dad. Or maybe she dislikes men in general. In either case, I hope you find peace.

I kinda have a love/hate relationship with my mother.

I find that she is very immature and illogical. She jokes too much and she assumes that everyone thinks and feels exactly like her!
Like I had entered a photography contest, and she told my that my photos were complete and utter crap and that I wouldn't even have a chance at winning honorable mention because nobody would even take a seceond glace at my artwork.

Sure enough, I won honorable mention, and I immediately showed mom the ribbon. She got angry and called me a disrespectful b*tch. BECAUSE I ACTUALLY WON SOMETHING?!?!

She is easily hot, and I get cold very easily. But she always assumes that just because she's hot, that I'm hot too. But usually, I am shivering! And then she puts fans in my room and turns them on and pens all my windows. And she turns off my heater! Hellooooo, I am freezing in here! If you're hot, then keep your own bedroom cold! Let me have my bedroom the way I like it!

These are just a couple of small examples. There is much more, but I don't feel like typing so much right now.

Not sure if I love my mother, but I can't say I hate her.

My parents are some of the most wonderful people in the world, and I have it lucky that my parents are great.

I don't hate my mother, but I couldn't live with her, no one can really. She's one of those man haters. Also always blaming others, she thinks she's perfect and everyone else is to blame. Always complaining about something. She'll blow up and start screaming about little things. She's always yelling, she thinks no one will do what she tells them to unless she yells, even though that's proven to be false more times than I care to remember. She thinks everyone should take care of her. She resents doing anything for anybody. I could go on. But overall she's not as bad as some mothers.

If you don't live with her and only see her every once in awhile and don't depend on her or ask her for anything, she's ok.

I don't hate my mom at all. She helps me out quite a bit in my life so far.

Your mother sounds like a bad person. Abandonment is a tough pill to swallow. I'm sorry you had to endure that abuse. I recently diagnosed my mother with AS, and it explained alot. We get along very well now. :)

thanks for your support, everyone and not thinking I'm some douche who hates women or something. I mean, if someone told me 10 years ago that they hated their mother, I'd be all like, "you should love your mother! She gave birth to you!"

I'm very glad a lot of you have great relationships with yours.
