Why do people with disabilities seem to have big teeth?

I'm not trying to be a stereotypical troll, but I've met quite a few people in my life so far with disabilities like mental retardation or a lot of learning difficulties, and they all had big teeth. I was just curious if there is an explanation for this type of thing, or if it just some sort of coincidence.

I don't think this applies to ASD people, because I haven't seen many Autistic people on the internet with big teeth, only I'm an exception.
But I do know a young man with mental retardation, and his teeth are really big and they stick out, and I know 4 people with just moderate learning difficulties, and they seem to have big teeth too, and are the type to hold a permanent grin on their face all the time, showing the teeth even more.

Maybe others haven't met people like this with big teeth, but I seem to have. I don't believe in the way the wiring of the brain affects physical features, so this is why I am very curious.

not trollish at all. The only way to learn is to ask.

I have often wondered this myself. I don't know the answer. How mental capacity and teeth are related, I have no idea.

Is it really their teeth? Or is it more to do with their facial expressions?

I know lots of people with non-ASD disabilities who have perfectly normal-sized teeth. :)

I think my teeth appear bigger because they are crooked. And I have a very pronounced overbite. Or I could just be weird. IDK which one it is.

People who are dumb tend to leave their mouth open. The correlation isn't really the size of the teeth, but the fact that you can actually see the teeth.

I think it's a coincidence.

I guess I am dumb then. :?

I find it uncomfortable to keep my lips closed 24/7 and I don't even realize my mouth is open. Is everyone supposed to keep their mouths closed when they are not talking, eating, drinking or brushing their teeth?

I must be an exception to that stereotype if there is one. I have lots of learning problems including dyslexia & ADHD & lots of my classmates believed that I was mentally retorted & I have very small teeth
