ever look up neighborhoods on Google maps just to see what they're like? It's like being there in the danger only by remote.

Thing is though, I'll go to a street known to be bad but they don't look bad at all. Take Scovill ave in Cleveland. Looks rather nice.

I saw a Facebook thread showing a kid who was about to be killed. :(

We don't have dangerous neighborhoods over here, luckily.

The most dangerous neighbourhood we have in my province is not a great place to be, but I bet it is a paradise compared to some of the inner city neighbourhoods in bigger cities down in the states.

According to some people, I live in one, though it's not really that bad.

Where's that then?

And yes, I have looked up 'rough' neighbourhoods, mainly to ascertain as to whether or not they'll be relatively safe to visit during the day.

I'd hate to be the Google employees capturing the images.

Belgium.
Of course we have two or three poor neighborhoods in the biggest cities where criminality is relatively high but I have talked to people who live there and they don't even think it's that bad. Definitely nothing compared to the gang violence in big cities in for exemple the US.

I have strolled through some pretty bad areas. Most are fine and sometimes the architecture of old buildings can be incredible. It usually doesn't hit me that it was a dangerous place to be until later when I see news where someone got murdered there and I recognize some of the places in the background.
