I was just about ready to go to an ATM and get 200 dollars out of my account so that this girl I suppose I would count as a friend could afford her prescription. She just had surgery and she could have died had she not gotten treatment in time(I wont go into too much detail as I don't know how specific she would want me to be.) So I assume this prescription was rather important. I guess her sister covered it.....but I was about to no questions about it...I would not have wanted to be paid back either regardless of the fact I am already in the hole because I will probably owe more in loans then I have ever seen at one time when I get done with college.

I would have paid for her medication in a heartbeat. I know what it's like to have trouble affording medication, so I would want someone to do the same for me.

Yeah, probably.

Yes, I would. No judgments, and no questions asked.

It's not something that would usually happen here - free health care and all, only non-moochers like myself pay for prescriptions and it's only seven quid or so per item anyway - but yeah, I'd cheerfully do that for someone I knew well enough to trust.

Idk, I don't know too many people that good, but if they were a really close friend, I might.

Only if they would do the same for me; no.

It depends. I would want to look at options and shop around for the best price. I'd be seriously curious if the person had anything that could be sold at a Pawn shop to help pay for it.

Now suppose they have a few assets that could be turned to cash and they still come up short. I would consider helping. Maybe just contributing cash or helping to get donations together.

Lastly I would not expect to be paid back.

I'm curious though, is this how health care works in US? No money and friends and dying = you fail?

Somehow I'm not surprised. But I heard you get free health care in prison? All those who are deadly sick could simply just commit a crime.
