I would like to hear everyones tales of encounters with the spirit world. or maybe a fictional ghost story you would like to share .i understand that there are many of you who dont believe in the spirit world, and thats completely kool i mean i understand theres no scientific proof of them, but if your a non believer im afraid this isnt the thread for you so please dont start calling us believers crazy One time, when i was younger, my aunt just bought a very old house in West Virginia dating back to the late 1800's, that the previous owner , who was a heavy drinker and partier, practically ruined, there were names and stuff carved in the beautiful old walls, the victorian trim was old,rotted and gray, and it needed a lot of work. She was showing my family the house and i wandered away from the group to a room by myself. And i was looking at all the horrible carvings on the wall, that was graffiti in my eyes, just as i was looking at it, i felt something wrap around my wrist gently, and move my hand towards the graffiti, then slowly brushed my hands against it, i figured i was imagining it. But my grandmother said she was in the room once and watched a table fly across the room . I think the spirit was telling me that they were upset their own home was in such ruins, because the activity stopped after the house was fixed up. what are your stories?

When my family and I first moved to this house we live in now (I was 7 when we moved to this house) so 15 years ago when we were getting work done on this house my family swore they saw feet walking up the stairs when everybody was downstairs! One night around the same time when my brother's friend was sleeping over I was hanging out with them and then I went to the kitchen and my brother and his friend thought I went upstairs because they heard the footsteps and saw the pair of feet going upstairs again like everyone else did! Sadly I never saw or heard anything! Sometimes my dad claims to get locked out of the house when no one is home and he just goes outside for a sec but can't get back in but no one is here to lock the door on him! Same here as soon as the house got fixed no one saw or heard anything anymore! Sometimes my dad still has to bring house Keys with him when he goes outside and he's the only one here lol!

One time when i was 5 in my room i was trying to sleep when BAM something grabs me. I was shocked. So shocked i fainted.

Sounds like the ghost doesnt like ur dad , oh well, hes not bothering u so that must mean he has no problem with you

Well, I was up at 3 in the morning, in a dark room, watching a scary movie.

All things which I advise you NOT to do.

Anyways, I think this movie was unrated, and it was creepy, it talked about disturbing things and stuff but I kept watching because curiosity got the better of me.

It got to this one point where I was watching the scariest point, and I felt this awful horrible ugly feeling and was scared for my life and soul. Not like the "ahhh, scary" feeling, but a deeper...darker feeling. I wanted to scream, but the sound wouldn't escape my throat. I QUICKLY attacked my tv to turn it off and RAN to my dad's room. He came in my room and gave me a blessing that the evil presences would go out of my room. I felt better within a few minutes.

I really believe that there were evil presences sent from Satan there. I try to avoid scary movies and talking/reading ghosts/spirits now. In fact, I didn't even read the other posts before this because I knew it was a bad idea.

Also, this wasn't the first encounter I had with them.

At least I'm safe lol! It's poltergeist or something because they're messing with my dad!

I was happy that my brother was visiting me and we decided to go on a day hike like we used to do as children. He wanted to go to a beautiful rocky outcrop which has a view of the whole valley, river and town. Inwardly I wanted nothing to do with this area. But in the interest of being a good hostess and getting along with my brother I agreed to hike there and we drove to the trail head. The walk up was uneventful; it was a beautiful spring day, and we had the trail to ourselves. When we reached the top we sat down to rest and talk and look at the view. No one else was around. Then a deep buzzing sound - very low - started up quite nearby. It sounded so close we both startled. We looked all around expecting a swarm of bees but there was nothing, and no one. We stood up and looked down the trail, over the edge: nothing. Finally, it slowly faded away. To this day he remembers the strange sound as a complete mystery. But I know what - or rather who - it was.
Ten years before, my boyfriend had died a few feet from where we were sitting when he crashed his small plane into the side of the hill. It was him, I know it, and there was no way for him to contact us except the strange, otherworldly buzz of a ghostly plane.

I like ghosts, not sure I have ever seen one. Know many people who have.

i have a huge fascination with the paranormal and the spirit world and ive studied it ever since i was a small kid. Well, since your afraid of ghosts i dont know if youll ever read this, but you know theres good spirits too and not every ghost has to do with satan, just demons really. cant say for sure if the vid brought evil spirits to your home or not, but if you feel the video brought bad spirits then i would highly suggest never watching it again, and i would even personally get rid of it although you probably dont have to, and so long as you do that you should be fine, just remember to keep the love of the lord in your home, and the good spirits of love and healing shall enter, and not the bad. also what was the name of the movie just out of curiosity?

Hmm, I used to have a fascination with it, but then I kept on having bad experiences.

I know there are. What I believe is that 1/3 a hosts of heaven followed Satan in the pre-mortal world. Those souls will NEVER get a soul and are doomed to outer darkness for eternity. To complain, they do whatever they can to make humans abuse their body because they are jealous. THEY ARE REAL AND OUT THERE. Every notice how a LOT of the sins have to do with the body, this is why. They can come through Wigi boards and other bad situations.

But I also believe in good spirits as well. I have felt the Holy Ghost's influence numerous times in my life. And I know I have guardian angels who protect me in bad situations. I have a firm testimony of this.

It was a movie on tv. I'm thinking it might have been R rated but I didn't know because I don't watch R movies, there was no rating when I watched it.

I can't remember what the name was, I just remember a disturbed girl, a fire, and a school dance.

I haven't seen one is real life, but I would like to.

chrissy I think you are talking about the movie 'Carrie'. It's very disturbing.

As for encounters I've heard my name whispered a few times.

DANG IT! You made me look that up and UGHHHHHHHHHH cannot get that image out of my brain. I need to read some scriptures.

If you want to get freakin scared half to death, look that up...even the pics are just awful. Need scriptures...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I saw a ghost airplane once. I remember being with my parents one evening on a rural hilltop. I hesitate to say this because I know that it dates me terribly, but I think we were waiting for Sputnik to pass overhead. Anyway, my father slipped, hit his head on a rock and was knocked out. My mother couldn't rouse him, so she sent me to get help at a country club that was on the other side of the hill. When I got there, there was no country club, but on the level ground where the golf course should have been, a World War I type airplane stood silently in the moonlight. That was scarier than a "dead" father so I went back over the hill to find that by this point my father had revived and all was back to normal. Naturally I told my parents all about the plane and we went to check. There was no plane and the club and golf course were where they should have been.

In hindsight I could say that fear caused me to hallucinate. Less rationally, I could say that fear opened a portal to another world that was closed as soon as my everyday world returned to normal. I've never had another such experience.
