If someone lacks 'charm' how might they come across in person?

Normal. Lots of people lack charm. Its not the worst thing to lack, I am always paranoid of charming people anyways. Its like they are trying to hide or distract from something.

Of course, it's easy to imagine a unicorn 'coming across' in person. Or should that be 'in unicorn'?

Haha, that is awesome to think of. If were going to get literal, humans nor unicorns can come as a cross. That shape would be too painful. :lol:
