alright there's a soon to be hurricane comming up the way from baja california and it looks like some part of it will hit arizona. the last time this happend was in the 90's with hurricane nora, i was living in yuma at the time and i was absolutley shocked that a hurricane hit arizona. it was very cool! it quickly died though, to a tropical storm and depression because of all the mountains.

anyways the question im asking is why am i so exited when a hurricane comes up this way? i mean i don't see anyone else getting this ready for a possible stike! its supose to hit sometime in the area of the middle of next week. i can't wait!

even if its not a direct hit on arizona we will at the very least get some of the outer bands of moisture from it! :P

Storms and so forth are exciting, and dangerous.

One of my ambitions is to go to somewhere like Kenya to watch the truly awesome electrical storms they have 8)

The cool thing about this baby is where i live its on a plateau, above the desert, wich rises about 5,000 feet in elevation from the desert but i live on the san francisco volcanic feild wich has some mountains that rise above 12,000 feet.

you know what that means, once the outer bands hit, uplifting of the grim land will enhance rainfall and overall power of the storm! :D

Heheheh, that should be excellent! Can you try and take some photos?

Just don't get yourself electrocuted or blown away, ok?

I'm glad I live in MN. Now if we only didn't have to worry about snow...

I'm glad I live in Canada.

I hope I didn't just say that out loud, just now... :P

Hey waterdogs,

What happened with the hurricane? I love them too, I grew up in South Florida. The horizontal rain and the wild wind gusts and the stuff flying past. I used to sit on the porch and watch. It's like nature singing really loud.

Did you say that wasn't proper? Did you march out on the track?
You were quiet, just like mice. And now you say that we're not nice.
Well thank you buddy for your advice...
