My dad told me the other day that my uncle John, who rarely talks and shows many signs of AS, he tried to deny that he could be on the spectrum. John didn't finish elementary school but now owns his own business and can talk, although he won't socialize with people unless he really knows them and they are types who are just open and won't chit chat. He has a lot of friends btw, but he doesn't talk so much. They come to him for help mostly or jobs.
Anyways, my dad listened to some radio show where this lady talks about introverts and extroverts and tells me how he's not autistic just an introvert and makes it sound like some new diagnosis and i'm like, introverts are normal and he's like no all introverts are just autistic and its all normal. I told him that people don't get diagnosed as being introverted and that its just a character trait of how we process thoughts and feelings and how autistics can be extroverts, (crazy schizos iow)
My theory is that introverted ASD is autistic and extroverted ASD is schizophrenic.
