Too true, too funny. But also makes a good point: People need affordable housing. Gentrification of the poorest postal code in Canada isn’t helping the people that are already in the neighbourhood.

edit: As much as this vid is poking fun at rental companies charging big $$ in the sketchiest part of town, literally 100% of what Trey talks about is reality in that neighbourhood. None of that is exaggerated or embellished. At all. That's what it's like in Vancouver's DTES neighbourhood.

Yep.

I saw a little commentary clip - not sure if it's true or hyperbole - saying that prisoners being released in BC are asking if they can just stay in jail because the average home is $1.5M (that stat must include condos, most houses cost more than that.) and the average rent for a 1 bedroom apartment in the city is $3K so rather than get released from jail and live on the streets they'd rather just stay.

Again, not sure if that's True or just some exaggerations from conservative commentators who want to make various levels of government look bad for the combination of policies that have led to this mess.. but, it's not entirely impossible that it is true given the numbers.
