...like I've tried to tell myself, to work as an ad executive and/or a comedian (Probably the former), before anyone says "DON'T!" to me about moving to L.A., I could use some advice on moving there.

What am I to do?

Best would be to have a job lined up before you move here, it should be easy to get in as a Disney Cast Member. You'll want to be able to hit the ground running, as they say. It's not the cheapest place to live on account of the Weather Tax. Other than that, you already have your ideal areas to find a place to stay, roommates are probably mandatory if you hope to survive financially, take your routines and interests as well as your sensory needs into account when meeting with prospective cohabitants

I plan to move there too, actually, but not for a year or so. I'm hopefully going to graduate school there after I graduate from my undergrad college in St. Louis. I would love some advice too (and maybe I'll run into equestriatola someday :D).

1. It is incredibly expensive, so save a lot of money first.

2. Don't trust anybody there.

3. Have goals and stick to them once you get to L.A.

4. Start where you are. It's better to not arrive a total novice.

If you do really well where you are, you might get noticed and get a running start there. Never know. You could also take advantage of you tube and post some comedy clips on that.

Rent for a decent one bedroom would be at least $1500 a month if not more like $2000 a month. You could find a roommate, maybe. Not sure how to find a safe one.

But yeah, and once you get here, do the amateur night at every comedy club and they might ask you to perform on a regular night. Keep in mind they will only pay you a pittance for your performance to start, something like $25.

Take classes at The Groundlings.
