What common words did you learn in science class?

Potential (learned about potential energy in physics)

Convention (I think it was my grade 10 science teacher who said how scientists draw the flow of electricity in the direction that is OPPOSITE to how it actually flows, so it is the "conventional way" of drawing electricity diagrams even though its not how it actually happens).

I learned Trivial in linear algebra class, not science but oh well.
