Yeah, I went to apply to a job at a grocery store that I've never been to, I ended up 30 miles from where I was supposed to be, on a beech with a lovely view of a paper mill

My Punk Rocker phase was actually the result of me being lost in the darkness.

I would be surprised if at any point in my life I decide that I am not lost. Aren't we all just kind of marooned when we are brought into existence anyway?

Many, many times.
In the forest, in cities, I even got lost in a supermarket car park once.

I think once or twice, I got "turned around" in a city where I was unfamiliar with the streets.
Then 10-15min later I got my bearings again.
But never truly "lost".
I have an impeccable sense of direction. I have a very visual/spatial mind and I build a map in my head everywhere I go.
Give me a week in any city and I will be able to get around better than people who have lived there their whole lives.

I have been lost before. One time was in Columbus, Ohio after I did a magic show. It was dark, and I made a wrong turn and ended up at the Ohio State Fairgrounds. I found a road heading south and made my way to the interstate. Although I had gotten turned around, I wasn't really lost because I knew the vicinity of where I was. But there was one time my mother and I really did get completely lost while hiking in the family woods. To this day we have never found the place we were lost in. It has remained a mystery.

I used to like getting lost intentionally. It is a good way to learn an area. So far I've always found my way home. A couple of times it did get a bit unsettling and take a few extra hours longer than expected.
