Classmates trying to communicate through my parents as a means of getting a hold of me
I'm not very social and I think they are doing this. They seem to want to communicate with my parents more then they want to communicate with me.
I know as a typical female I would probably be somewhat jealous or something by the fact that they would rather want to communicate with my parents then me.
As though I'm uninteresting or whatever.. or that they feel bad that my parents have to deal with a MENTALLY ret*d or AUTISTIC child while paying no attention whatsoever to me..
But I'm sure that they are trying to use my parents as a means to get close to me? Or at least that's what my conscience tells me..
Anyways.. I'm curious to know what your opinions are on this and if you've ever been in this situation and what you would do or what you would think if you were me..
Maybe you think I'm an attention-whore or something.. I don't know..

My kids friends always talk to my husband and me. A few of them just say the polite hello and then go hang with my kids, but some will sit with us and talk. Sometimes, if they drop by to see my kids and my kids aren't here, they come in and hang out. If I'm not doing anything they will talk to me, or if I am, they do their own thing and watch TV or something.
A couple of the kids friends are big football fans like my husband, while my kids really aren't into it much but will watch an important game now and then. Those friends who are into football come to watch it with my husband.
Also, my husband and I are the parents that all their friends come to with problems or questions or situations that they can't go to their own parents with. We aren't judgemental, but we don't put up with stuff we don't approve of either.
So, maybe they just like your parents too.
