Not sure if serious or sarcastic satire.

OP: I used to make my own but I sort of stopped for a reason I can't quite remember.

It's serious within the context of the movie and from me. Both my mother and father died due to smoking. My dad from lung cancer and my mom by congestive heart failure due to emphysema.

go away anti-smoker. I don't want to hear it. Stop trying to force your ideals on others.
Do you actually think that smokers are unaware of the health risks?
I'm well aware of how unhealthy it is to smoke. Thing is, I don't care how unhealthy it is, I gotta die from something.
Your guilt trip just pisses me off and makes me want to smoke more out of defiance.
Keep it to yourself, I don't want to hear any anti-smoking lectures.
Everywhere I go I get sh*t from people about my smoking, I'm tired of hearing it.

Oppositional defiance failure. You'd kill yourself rather than listen to reason. Sadness.

To be fair, 'Keet,it all depends on what kind of risk vs benefit ratio you're willing to accept. If the risk of cancer and other lung-related illnesses doesn't register as greater than the reward of regular nicotine boosts then there is very little anyone can say to change their mind.

Personally, I'm more afraid of dieing from getting hit by a car when crossing the street or just walking on the sidewalk than I am of cigarette-induced maladies. I'm also not bothered by the possible prospect of not living to see my 60th birthday.

If I make it that far, probably not. Life is uncertain, after all.

Personally, I want to live as long as possible. Crossing a street one can be aware of the traffic around them and actively preserve their life, but self poisoning isn't something that can have the risks actively negated.
