If someone looks at you with closed smiling lips (kind of like a grin) and there facial expression is saught of blank except for there mouth. sometimes as well they might frown slightly when smiling at you.

what does that facial expression mean? and what is the message the person trying too say too you with that particular expression? in my opinion people make that expression becuase they might be making fun of you or they like you?

look at the top far left of this facial expression chart too see the emotion i am talking about.

i have come across in my life a few girls that have made that expression too me and i have made the mistaken idea that they like me when in fact they don't at all.

It's hard to tell exactly without knowing the full contextual factors.

Maybe it means they are humouring you.

It could be pity or patronizing

Your description of the facial expression you are asking about and the image to which the URL links are quite different.

From your verbal description I thought you meant a sort of amused-sceptical look (along the lines of, "are you for real?").

The drawing looks pretty nondescript/neutral to me. I'm having trouble associating any particular expression with it.

It looks like pity to me.

That's how I smile when I'm slightly amused. What it means on 'normals', I haven't the faintest idea.
