I'm going to he grand hyatt Taipei tonight for dinner and new year party with my mom. How to prevent overload?
There will be lots of people
There will be screams and cheers and countdowns
There will be lots of chatter,
And lastly I would probably get back home at dawn.

Oh, maybe I should bring the iPad along and give you guys the Taipei fireworks in words instead. I'm thinking that aside from the fireworks it will be noisy and boring.

I agree with ear plugs, and take breaks, and know when you're close to being done, if that happens, to give yourself enough reserve to make a graceful exit if you need to. Know your limits and don't feel bad for having them.

Know where the bathrooms are. They can be good places for a few minutes of solitary cubicle time.
