I know I feel like an old person saying this, but if it's passed midnight and I'm still up, I emotionally feel like something's wrong with me being up and that I should get to bed right now. It's like I don't feel right if I'm up too late. And no way would I want to be out after midnight! I just would not feel right at all if I found myself roaming the streets passed midnight. I really don't know why. I just feel afraid of my body clock going out of rhythm, I suppose. Also, if I go to bed after midnight, I can never get to sleep for hours, so I end up going to sleep at about 4, then waking up in a bad mood and feeling sick in the morning. Also I get headaches if my body clock is out of routine.

Anyone else feel like this? Don't think it's got anything to do with AS, which is why I put it in the Random Discussion.

It takes me a long time to decompress before I can fall asleep. I end up sleeping a couple hours a night and before I know it the whole week feels like a daze. I always have an hour in the afternoon and possibly in the evening where I struggle to keep my eyes open, then I am back wide awake.

I also feel the same way. I need to be in bed before 11.

It doesn't feel right to me to go to sleep before midnight, even when I have class the next day.

I wish that I could get to sleep by midnight but my mind does not shut up.

I can usually function just fine on 3 or less hours of sleep. I love being up late too. The night is beautiful and mysterious especially in the early hours of the morning.
If I could drive I would be out all night. I would drive to the nearest city and go to bookshops and coffee houses that were open late. I don't do bars because their too loud and wild.

I'm the opposite, I tend to stay up late and find it weird to go to bed before midnight.

My goal was to start going to bed earlier this term... we'll see how that goes!

As long as you don't start feeding yourself, you'll be OK. ;)

Actually, after midnight is when I feel the happiest and most "alive". I wish I could be that way during the day around other people. But maybe the reason why I feel so refreshed at night is because there are no other people around...

No I can't even stay up until eleven. It sometimes takes a while for me to get to sleep. I don't feel right if I go to bed at any time other than when I usually do and if I go later it takes me even longer to get to sleep.

I find it impossible to fall asleep before midnight even then it takes me and hour to actually fall asleep. The only time I can sleep before midnight is if I'm really tired from getting near no sleep or when I get home and feel really drained, in which case I take a short nap.

When i was a kid i used to get that, the clock would hit midnight and i knew i should be asleep or i'd get another bad day where im tired all the time but there'd be nothing i could do. It's like every minute past midnight would just add one more drop of sweat to my brow. Every night that would happen, it was such a stress.

Not much i can do though, it's always seemed like im wired up to prefer being awake at night time.
