I was at a stoplight, in the left turning lane. Across the road there was a vehicle who was turning right (their right), which i could tell due to the turn signal. There wasn't much traffic yet they did not make a right turn. It would have been perfectly legal for that vehicle to make a right turn at that red light, and the traffic was not prohibitive.

At the moment, I didn't think much of this.

When the light turned green, i made my turn and they made their turn... this put me right behind that vehicle. At this time I noticed a sticker on the back of it that read: "This vehicle does NOT turn right on red."

This was someone's personal vehicle. The sticker was hand-written with I assume a permanent marker.

WHAT?

So just because some prick has a personal bias against right turns on reds, they have to impede your right to drive within the law. Lovely.
I send you my mental best wishes and a mental toke, and the belief that if we could just mount M-242 Bushmaster cannons atop our vehicles, all would be well.

Actually, a driver should only turn right on red if the feel it is safe to do so. This particular driver may feel that it is never safe to turn right on red and at least is nice enough to warn those behind them who are in a hurry.

I hate is when I am making a turn and someone honks their horn as if they can make the decision on what is safe and what is not safe for me. If it were not for people with guns and road rage, I would sit there because their pressure does not make me feel like it is safe to make the turn.

In this case if I could see the right turn blinker on the car I would make my turn to the left outside lane if this was a 2 lane road. In my time as a driver I have seen some truly awful driving and lack of turn off planning on the part of most other drivers. Do not allow yourself to be pressured into less safe turns or driving they are not the ones who will get hurt. One legit reason for stop signs and stoplights are busy cross streets and not being about to see if other cars are coming so you stop and look. Alot of normal ppl when they drive do go a little insane and get very aggressive. I called it the take take style of diving. I like a give and take style myself most of the time. Not tailgating not being tailgated. And driving too slow is more a danger to other drivers who go 5 to 10 over the speed limit. The trick is to get a feel for the unwritten speed limit is it 5 over or is it 10 or even 15 over ? If you match that speed it allows for smooth flow. Yes I know a law type will still give you a ticket but it' s still safer to match speeds. Driving is not that hard it's the other drivers who make it a pain grin... 8)
