An Aspie's Ode to Crushed Ice;

Ice, I love you,
Truly, I do
When in my mouth,
My sensory needs, you soothe.
You taste like cold,
But not like water,
(Which I won't drink)
You're free most places,
(My freezer even makes you)
You fulfill my water needs,
You give my oral fixation something to do,
By George, Ice...
I so love you.

I love ice!! !

I always have :)

When I was 3, I got a piece of ice stuck in my throat when I accidentally swallowed it. I freaked out! I could breath, but it was just super uncomfortable. Took it a few moments to melt.

Ice is one of my worst things on this planet. It causes me to slip over and humiliate myself and people laugh or stare at me as though I just done something inhuman.

But don't you like ice in your drink? I can't stand drink without ice.

As for slipping on ice outside, thats a huge risk for everyone and everyone does that. When we have ice here and I have to get out in it you can put money on me falling. It's not that big a deal if somebody looks. Remember, your most humiliating moment is just someone else's passing amusement. We remember things that humiliate us, but others rarely remember them. I'm sure you're not the only one that's slipping and falling on it, and I'm sure they see others do it and look at them exactly the same way.

Count me among the ice fans! I had to chew ice every day when I was pregnant with my son, it was like a compulsion. Now I don't do it every day but I still like it.

I hate the sound of someone crunching on ice. Mum always did it all the time. Ice is good to cool drinks on a hot summer's day in Australia. Oh wait, it is summer.

The second time I read the title I got to admit I was thinking about a different kind of ice.

Plain/pure water of any kind makes me literally gag for some reason. However, I have always been fascinated by ice as a structure. I think it is amazing and beautiful. When I was old enough to learn its chemistry and how it is so bizarre to be a solid that is lense dense than its liquid form, I was more enthralled. I love how ice sparkles and shines and looks so slick and clean. If I ever have some big, fancy soiree (very unlikely), I will get swan ice sculptures for decoration. I love breaking ice, too. At my college, one of the buildings used to have HUGE icicles on its side during winter. I got such delight from pulling off the icicles and smashing them on the sidewalk.

I like to crunch ice though, and I mean I really like to crunch ice. Actually what I like to do is to bite down until the ice melts around my teeth and leaves my teethmarks on like a stamp.
