Hello!

Thanks for sharing that. You are right. We often do not realize what's really important in this world until we are about to leave it.

Having lived most of my life depressed and wanting to be dead, it REALLY 'hit home' with me! Fortunately, I have a new hope and purpopse in life, thanks to my involvement with this site. I am now working to undo some of the damage a lack of concern about my health has brought on.

Have A Great Day!

Rob

I...didn't consider this to be all that random, but ok.

I forget that most people are unready for death.

Why did you post it, anyway? It isn't obvious to me, on the face of it, and a brief trawl through your recent post history hasn't enlightened me.

because this wasn't the original forum I'd posted it in.

For all those on here who desperately want everyone else to like them, and will do anything to make it happen....I'm trying to show them that even those dying regret in the end not living for themselves, but trying more to impress other people instead.

It made no sense there either!

I'm friends with a couple people from the community on Facebook, one of whom in particular has come to be occasionally for advice, as he puts it "you seem to have it so together"; well, yes, but it was quite a journey to get there.

I've been trying to tell him recently that he has to live for himself, not for other people. Apparently, not living for oneself has been one of the biggest regrets of the people mentioned in that article.

And it's a common problem I see brought up on the main Autism forum, so I thought I'd share with everyone the regrets of dying non-Autistic people are, in hopes that it could inspire those here better.

I agree with everything that's said in that article. Thank you for sharing that with us. :)

I agree with the points in the article but find it extremely hard to make such changes. Not worrying about what others think has bitten me in the ass from time to time. these experiences have made me what I am now; and my true self is a direct product of that. In my opinion: don't change anything, just sell it harder :)

Good wisdom in the article and good points from bucephalus. I personally need to quit waiting for good things to happen when nothing is certain and many outcomes exist for everything you do.
