I can't see lots of these pics that people post on here. Or is it a video? Whichever it is, all I get is a blank background colored square with a tiny tricolored square in the top left corner. What's up with that?

Speaking of robots of doom, did you see when the lawyer from Law and Order hosted SNL? He did a fake commercial about "robot insurance". Let me see if I can find it. Here it is. If I can't see it in my preview I'll know that what I can't see is video. I hope it posts.

OK, in my preview I couldn't see it either. So all those blank spots are videos. I'm going to go post on the WP.net forum and ask for advice.

Watch that commercial if you can see it.

Those are all good robot videos. We need to be on the lookout for robots! 8O

Me and my friend stumbled on the quadrotors a day ago. Incidentally does anyone remember the buzzbots from half life 2? If so, well...this. Imagine what those robots could do if we gave each one a tiny buzz saw, or a tiny injection of deadly neurotoxin. But regardless I'm sure the application for delivery or perhaps repair is nigh limitless as soon as the tech evolves.

Quad rotors are great fun. I have been involved in software development for two quadrotor projects: OpenPilot and my own firmware running on Arducopter electronics. I have a couple of airframes though only one is flying at the moment. A few years ago this stuff would have been limited to the military and institutions with large amounts of money. Nowadays anyone can build an autonomous quad rotor for a few hundred pounds.

It is quite scary really. Anyone with a bit of RC modeling experience could build an airplane capable of carrying a couple of kilograms of high explosive 20 miles or more and delivering it with an accuracy of less than 10 meters just using commercially available parts.

I am not a fan of robots, yet I was excited about them as a kid, then Terminator came along and showed us the truth!
I did have a Roomba, I liked it allot.
