I just watched it last night, I`ve seen it a few weeks ago but wasn`t paying attention to it. I had recorded it on our DVR on Sunday morning and didn`t get to watch it until last night! WOW some parts freaked me out a lot, but I LOVED it!! !! I know I`m years late on loving it but I like older things to begin with! I don`t care if it`s off the air! Now I have to give Angel and Bones a try because I am in love with David Boreanaz!! ! So I am obsessed with Buffy now probably! Possibly Angel too LOL! Well after all I did name my cat Angel after David`s character! Anybody else like Buffy The Vampire Slayer??? And for that matter does anybody else like the show Angel or Bones?

I never really got into Angel, but I LOOOOOVED Buffy! I watched it beginning in the second season (but seen all episodes now) when I was 13ish, and watched it right to the end. I was so disappointed when they stopped making it.

I found Angel to be a much better show than Buffy, but I like them both. Both were written by Joss Whedon who in my opinion is a genius. I liked Angel more because it was a little darker and a little more on the mature side.

I like them all, in this order: Buffy, Bones, Angel. Although my dvd collection would say otherwise since I own season 1 of Angel. I just wanted to get a slightly more age appropriate David to drool over than I would've gotten if I'd bought a season of Bones, and the store didn't have any Buffy or I would've gotten that. Also, you must watch Angel season 1 episode 8 "I Will Remember You," so amazing, I cry my eyes out every single time I watch it.

buffy was awesome until Dawn became a part of the show.
i mean, 3 seasons they were adamant that Buffy was an only child...and then bam...Dawn...and we just sposed to roll with it?

Faith was way cooler than buffy. I got to meet eliza dushku once...and made her laugh. She wasn't that much taller than me. but she was still cool.

You should watch it. There's actually a subset of media studies devoted to analyzing it.

There's also a subset of media studies devoted to analyzing Dan Brown novels. But I'll take your word for it that it's a good show.

Yeah, Buffy is one of my favourite programmes. It's a show with great heart, and humour, and cleverness.

I was a big fan of Willow and Tara, Spike, Faith and the Mayor, Glory, and Giles. Andrew and Jonathan were quite funny too. And Xander was great. And of course our Anya. Xander and Anya have a whole NT/Aspie thing going on there that appeals to me.

Dawn annoyed the hell out of me.

Angel was much more interesting without a soul. Soppy, deep and meaningful, Angel was not my cup of tea at all.

I don't watch it so much now, but it's still in my top 10.

Anya: Oh, crap. Look at this! Now I'm burdened with a husband and several tiny pink children, more cash than I can reasonably manage...
Xander: That means you're winning.
Anya: Really?
Xander: Yes. Cash equals good.
Anya: Ooh! I'm so pleased. Can I trade in the children for more cash?

-

Anya: Oh, that girl. Tara and I met her. She speaks with a strange evenness and selects her words a shade too precisely.
Xander: Well, some of us like that kind of thing in a girl.

I thought Buffy was a great show. I have watched all the seasons of the show over the last year, thanks to the local library (I didn't see the show back when it aired originally).

I liked the wit of the writing and character development best, so the final season kind of fell flat for me, as it was way more plot driven (but of course I watched it anyway). I also wasn't quite so fond of the season with the military guy boyfriend.

As for Dawn showing up randomly, I thought it was pretty neat how everything changed strangely and we ended up in an alternate timeline (same with when we end up in a possible alternate timeline where Buffy was possibly in a mental hospital for the entire series as well -- was it really just a trick from the forces of evil?) Dawn's appearance wasn't quite so random, anyway; note how in the last episode in the previous season Buffy was warned to be "back before dawn" when she and her friends are stuck in a series of strange dreams. Anyway, I am clearly rambling by now, but suffice to say, I thought it was a great show.

I've only seen the first few episodes of Angel. It seemed pretty good, but is indeed quite different (more serious, and more of a crime show). Episode #5, "Rm w/a Vu" was quite enjoyable (and I would recommend it), particularly as I was looking for a new apartment at the time.

I used to love that show. Angel too. :D Spike and Darla were my favorite characters as far as I remember. It was a long time ago...
