One time when I was younger (maybe 8 years old) in the late 1990s or early 2000s, when I was out sick from school with a fever, I stayed at home and watched television. I remember them playing this clip from The Adventures of Mark Twain on Cartoon Network every time there was a commercial break. None of the other clips from the film, just this one. I recently remembered that I had seen this clip when I was younger from seeing it on Youtube. It seems really strange to me that they were playing it on Cartoon Network repeatedly around that time. Strange things like this plague me. Does anyone else remember this clip? Has anyone else ever experienced a similar strange coincidence that plagues them?

I've never seen it before now, but I have heard of it.

I saw this when someone posted it before. It is indeed disturbing for a young child to see.

Does anyone know if they actually did play this clip on Cartoon Network around that time? It could have just seen a similar clip. I don't remember, it was a long time ago, but this particular clip gave me deja vu. They used to play some other creepy suggestive stuff on Cartoon Network like Courage the Cowardly Dog so I guess this could've been a clip that they played. I used to love watching that show. It's going to be on Boomerang starting in May. As a kid I liked watching creepy stuff like that. I still like watching creepy stuff.

This scared me so bad when I was a kid. Heck, it still creeps me out.

What's disturbing about a talking mask on a stick :?: I'm wondering if it's meat for kids because i sure didn't understand it as an adult

It's a scene out of an unfinished novel by Mark Twain. There's a wikipedia page for it. It didn't sound like Twain meant it for kids, so it is weird that that video was shown during cartoon-time.

That video disturbed me very badly when I saw it for the first time a few years ago. Even now I'm shy about watching it again, especially now that it's dark outside and everybody else is in bed... :pale:

I don't find it particularly disturbing... just a tad grim :?

I thought it was fairly interesting and wish there was more... like a series or a longer film :|

It was pretty random though :?

It's not the mask on a stick, it's the message the face delivers that's disturbing for a child..
