Well right now I have dreads, which i don't dislike that idea, but it just hasn't turned out too well this time. Plus I have developed dandruff to complicate things. So seriously considering just getting most my hair cut off so I can just grow it back and start over with the dreads if I want. But in the meantime not sure what to do...lol should I buzz it all off or try and get some sort of mohawk going on. I mean I could perhaps brush some of the dreaded hair out, but brushing it all out would probably be quite painful and well not sure how good its going to look after being brushed out of dreads.

I do probably want to try it again at some point, but I just don't like how its turned out, my brother put them in...and it's not really his fault I was messing with them a lot when I should have just left them alone more. Which I could maybe repair the damage I did but with the severe dandruff it complicates things because it makes the root hair too greasy to work with as far as swirling the roots around to help strengthen them and stimulate the scalp. I mean I might as well just take dandruff flakes and rub them around in there at this point. Also I was advised to go quite a while between washings which works for some people but with my hair I probably should have been washing them more often initially. So I would rather start over once I've got the dandruff sorted out and can grow out some healthy hair.

I mean I want opinions on how I should go about this...but keep in mind I am not very attatched to my hair, if I buzz it all off it will just grow back and it grows pretty fast, but just kind of thinking if I would look cool with a female mohawk....ha ha ha, as it is normally a guys hairdo. I've also never gone quite that crazy with my hair, never even dyed it but then I did get dreads, so why not. Plus I need to find a new job and I think mohawk with dandruff cleared out is more hirable than dandruffy dreads, which I am more confident of getting rid of the dandruff before I get an interview without dreads than with them.

i've seen your picture, once or twice.

i think it would be interesting to see you with a buzz. hireable enough, too.

what color is it? it wasn't clear from the pic you posted, at least to me.

Well essentially dark brown, but it looks lighter in the sun which most the pictures I have posted I have taken in brighter sun-light as I only have my mediocre phone camera which takes the best pictures in natural daylight. But sometimes it gets an either red or blue tint to it, not sure if that is light dependent or not....might be more seasonal because I always find in the winter my skin looks paler and my hair looks darker while in the summer I get more of at tan and if anything my hair gets lighter.

To me, a buzz cut seems more edgy on a woman than a mohawk, and more versatile, like you can change your look by what you wear etc, whereas a mohawk would lock you in to a certain style.

Depends what sort of job you're going for.. if a conservative look is required AT ALL, then buzz it/go with some short style.

Otherwise, yeah, a mohawk would be more hireable than severe dandruff w/ dreads.

I've had a few mohawks over the last few years.. brightly coloured, too. Didn't affect my job in construction - but I already had the job vs interviewing like that.

Anyways, go with a mohawk.. if you don't like it or don't get the sort of response to it that you'd like you can always go further and buzz everything off later. :)

Mohawk.
Orginal Listerene kills dandruff. It used to be on the bottle label when I was a kid.The draw back is the Listerene smell.
