this is kinda weird - according to Google, ones eyes cannot get steamed up as they would have to be dry or something, which apparently they're not. (dont quote me on this tho)

but....

this happens mainly in winter:
when walking about 10mins to college in winter [on really low temp days] from the [warm] bus, when i step into the hot students center my eyes "steam up" - this rectifies itself in about 5 minutes

its as if im looking thru frosted glass - not so much in my nearfield vision, but moreso in my long distance vision... its just like the blur effect on a photo edit app...

what is goin on? :?
(i do not need spex or contact lenses; my vision is fine the rest of the time.)

anyone else get this?

Your eyes are probably adjusting to different lighting.

Eyes just like anything feel the effects of dramatic changes in temperature. It could be that it's cold and dry outside, and hot and humid inside the building. When I step outside of an air conditioned office into the middle of summer dry heat it instantly feels like my eyes are turning into sultanas.

It could be the lighting as someone says. On these cold days is there snow? If the sun is shining all the extra white lying around creates glare and your vision becomes effected.

I get it sometimes in the morning. It generally goes away after 5 minutes or so. The effect is just like my glasses steaming up (I wear glasses). Sometimes when it happens I end up cleaning my glasses 2 or 3 times before realizing that the problem is not the glasses

My eyes steam up when I'm outside in the dark and I see halos around the street lights.
