like they have dog food, cat food, fish food? When I know I should eat but I don't want to think about what to have. What are some ideas?

They do :) There is a lot of convenience food like TV dinners or canned soup / stew / pasta that is basically the human equivalent of cat food. Alas, none of this is particularly healthy (or tasty, for that matter). It usually contains preservatives and other unhealthy additives.

The one exception are some deep frozen dinners with fresh, flash-frozen vegetables. I always keep some bags with nasi goreng or paella in the freezer for emergencies. You can also freeze your own selfmade dinners if you've made too much for one person, and microwave it later on when you have no time to cook.

Things like protein bars or energy bars are adequate "people chow"--cheap, filling, and (slightly) more nutritious than candy or chips.

Probably stew, especially tinned varieties. It's got the meat, veggies and carbs all rolled into one.

I think they might make a nutrient paste blended with all essential ingredients to keep a human being alive for the space program alive. Other than that, I think I read at some point that some sea weed comes closest to being the complete food for human consumption. It really whets one appetite thinking about it.

This reminds me of a recipe for a rockstar breakfast of cocoa puffs and whiskey
