Does anyone here live in Stockholm, Sweden? I've read that they are aiming to be completely free of fossil fuels by 2050. I know that Stockholm is one of the cleanest capitals in the world, and has won the European Green Capital Award. If you do live in Stockholm, or have visited there, what exactly motivates the people to care so much about their city and the environment. Although, of course, I know that the government does help, but it would be impossible to have earned the award if the people did not care. So what interests me most is what motivates them? Of course, from what I've read, the city has a beautiful climate.lolThat would be one reason I would love such a city. I despise Phoenix, although I still try to do my best for the environment by recycling, saving water, energy, etc. Though, could the climate really motivate people in such a positive way? The fact that the city could win an award if they work towards it? The fact that Princess Lovisa of Sweden, who became queen of Denmark, and was the first Swedish princess to marry into the Danish Royal House since the middle ages was born in Stockholm Palace, Stockholm, Sweden?XD
