Supernatural things are a hobby of mine. Has anyone here seen a ghost and do you think that people with Aspergers have a special affinity to ghost seeing? I think I have seen 2 ghosts in my life. One was on the roof of a building in Washington DC, another was in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains near Albuquerque, NM. (I have other ghostly stuff, but don't want to overload right now).

I also used to have some photos of something floating in a graveyard in Ithaca New York. I will try to dig that up if I still have it.

I don't believe in many aspects of the supernatural, but perhaps science has still a lot to teach us, of course it has, and many things seen as "supernatural" today will be seen as normal in 100 years time? Science will have explained it and it would then be regarded scientifically instead of supernaturally. I am certainly open to paranormal phenomena though, some at least. We hardly know anything about the universe really, or our own minds for that matter.

Although I don't think people with Autism are any more 'in tune' than anyone else when it comes to the supernatural. There's nothing to support it.

No I typically cannot see them, I can sense them though. Also, I did see a spiritual being once though, that chose to show itself but it wasn't a ghost.

There was one time when I was on the way back from college on the bus, and I saw someone out of the window on a bike who I went to school with who I disliked, (I hadn't seen him around in quite a few months) and the next day I saw in the local newspaper that he had been drunk and riding his moped and was killed the week before. Yet I swear it was him I saw the day before it was reported! Obviously it could have been a case of mistaken identity but it looked so much like him, and I caught a very good view of him to determine that it was certainly him. Just as if you'd see anyone else you knew and would be certain it was them. I cannot explain it and it leaves me feeling perplexed to this day.

That's the closest thing I've come to "seeing a ghost".

There was one evening that I was still living with my parents. I was making tea after my mum went to bed and I saw a ghost of a Pearly King sitting on the upstairs sofa. That was strange.

I have seen a ghost, the same one, twice.
I was living in a squat in North London and in my bedroom, I had tied a long piece of string to the light switch, so I could turn the light on and off without having to get out of bed.
I was asleep and all of a sudden I woke up and I opened my eyes and saw a man, wearing a motorcycle helmet and a plastic anorak, standing in front of my closet and going through my clothes which were on hangers. I could hear the rustling of the plastic anorak as he kept going through the clothes. I reached for the string to turn the light on and he disappeared in the blink of an eye. There is no way he could have been a human thief, he wouldn't have had enough time to leave the room in the blink of an eye, to walk or run to the door and to open it and then to close it behind him even, as the door was closed.
Then, a few months later, I moved to a bigger room in the squat, which was right next to my old room.
One night I opened my eyes and the same man was standing in front of the fireplace, facing it and funny enough he was smoking a cigarette, he was holding it and I could see the smoke coming out of it. One blink of an eye later he was gone.

I assumed that he was somebody who used to live there and who died in a motorcycle accident...

I thought I saw a ghost once, turned out to be a phantasm, oh well.
