Question about posting pics

I put tis here rather than in the wp.net discussion area because I figured I'd get more opinions here.

I got my daughter to take some pics of me, and of me and her together the other night and I want to post them in the pic thread on the members only forum. I know I have to have an account at a pic hosting site, but I'm clueless as to how and where to do that. Which ones are free, which ones are simple (when I say simple I want you to understand that I'm basically clueless about computers) and which one would really be the best one for me to use.

They aren't all that good, because I never take good pics, but I thought it might be time to put a face with a user name here.

So, tell me what to do please.

Photobucket is free and very easy to use. Go to http://www.photobucket.com , click "sign up" in the upper left and fill in the form. When you get a screen asking you to "go pro", click "no thanks". Next, hit the upload button, click "select photos and videos", and select images from your local PC. You can select multiple files by holding down the Ctrl key while clicking them.

After the upload, you'll see thumbnails of your photos at the bottom. Click a thumbnail of an image that you want to post here and wait for a larger sized version to load. Then right-click the enlarged photo and select "copy image URL". (You can paste this URL into a forum post using the image button at the top of the Edit Post window). To get back to your thumbnail overview, click "albums" at the top.

Imade a flickr account and I'm going to try and post using that.

Unless you're going to upload a lot of photos on there (and get a paid-for account - they're US$25 per year), the free accounts are limited to 200 photos and the original sizes aren't publicly viewable either.

Just something to bear in mind.

I only got it so I could post pics here. It worked just fine. I put it in the members section under post a pic.

Ah, OK. I generally use Tinypic to post photos here - yes, it can be a bit of a faff to use but it's free and no registration is required to use it.
