wether they are for a book/movie/videogame etc. IMO I don't. I don't mind spoiling since I feel that makes read/playing/watching that much more fun to see that 'scene" or death etc. play out. Since I already know what's coming for me it makes the book or whatever that much more exciting to get into. What are your thoughts on people spoiling things for you do you like it or don't? Do YOU spoil stuff? Thanks!

For movies and such they sometimes annoy me, but I also like to know about a movie before I see it.
But for things like video game stories, I don't mind at all, in fact, I prefer to know.

I used to not care much about spoilers. In fact, when I was younger, I used to read entire plot summaries of shows I'd only barely started watching - partially because I used to think that I'd never get a chance to watch the whole thing (which was before Netflix and other streaming/DVD services).

But these days, spoilers have started bothering me more ever since I have learned that unexpected twists can provide a lot of entertainment value. I mentally kick myself for spoiling major plot points of movies/books/TV shows that I used to only be slightly familiar with but now wish to explore more in-depth, such as Harry Potter. However, in the case of that series, I only know a few details yet don't know the circumstances surrounding them or the events/adventures leading up to them, so it will probably still be an enjoyable read for me.

Spoiling things for people who don't want them spoiled is wrong, but they should be freely available for those who want them.

I hate it when someone spoils an anime for me or a game, when i do watch playthroughs of games etc i do it while i'm actually at that part myself and not in advance before i get the game although i do like checking reviews and some images to get a feel for what its like and sometimes just a simple short gameplay video, and for books i never look anything up, i go to the book store and if the book looks right and feels right and if i like the first page or two then i'll buy it, sorry i rambled xD

Yes, I care about spoilers. I hate spoilers, they can really ruin some much of the experience for me. Like IdahoRose said, unexpected twists can provide a lot of entertainment value, and if that's gone then the experience becomes more hollow.

I hate it when they show spoilers for TV programmes that are just about to start anyway. I usually change channel while they do that or hit the mute button and look away.

In a way I want to know but then it spoils the fun. For instance I wanted to know which major character dies in the 6th Harry Potter book was. I thought of various names, but never could have guessed the true character.

I absolutely hate it when people spoil books and movies for me. I don't even like to read reviews until after I've read or seen the book or movie.
