I'm a writer, on top of being on the spectrum. I don't think I'm an Aspie because I am really clueless when it comes to computer/techie stuff (think I"m more PDD-NOS). I need to find somebody who can help me update my website when new books come out, and when I want to run contests. We can talk about fee. I figured maybe somebody here could help me out. I don't know anyone who knows how to do website changes. Here's the website, as is, so far. Thanks in advance for anyone who may be able to help. I hope it's ok to post this here. If it's not, Alex, I'm sorry. I didn''t mean to break any rules.

I do consulting for websites and could help you out. Also, I do search engine marketing/optimization consulting which would help you sell more books. The fee I charge is hourly and not cheap but worth it if you want someone who knows what he's doing. PM me if you're interested.

Yeah trying to sell a book has got to be hard. So I like your idea of a contest or something that could bring attention to yoursite. I think a crafty youtube video would
be nice to. If it became popular (it would have your website link in it) could bring hits to your site. Plus you would want google ads on your site to bring in a few dollars.

I guess the most critical point as Alex mentioned his fees and services is your not going to magically get hits to your site without some expenditure of cash. Seems simple ads for a book will be a waste to spend money on. You need away to bring people in the book buying demographic to your site.(women for sure, and whatever else is your books target audience)

Usefull help cost alot of money. Trying to sale a work of fiction from an unknown author would be like trying to selling snowcones to Eskimos. Major authors have a major machine pushing their books. If your just trying to sell a few books for vanity and not worried about major sales then you should beable to find someone to do that easily. A local part time web devolper would be your best bet.

I'm with an e-pub. It's not a vanity press. I'm under contract. it's a great way to start out, but you have to do a lot of the marketing yourself in order to get people interested. My closest friend has a NY agent now--she started out in e-pub.

My problem is I can't find anyone who knows how to do websites. I've placed ads, even at universities.

hi, if you are feeling brave, go DIY!, install Wordpress (free) in your site and edit as much as you wish, or ask someone (like Alex) to install it for you. Wordpress is very easy to use :)
