I have no idea what my IQ is, although I really wish I did. But if I actually took an IQ test I would probably get a lousy score just for being what feels like the only aspie who is bad at math or doing most other things that require logic and preciseness. I can't play chess, I can barely stand checkers and jigsaw puzzles for people over the age of 4. I am fairly good at guessing the answers to riddles, however. I enjoy a good riddle and stumping people when I ask them something I find totally simple. How is it that in this modern age so few people realize that the surgeon that won't operate on the deceased father's son is HER child? Anyway, I'm really an artist. A cartoonist. And the great thing about cartooning is that there are so few rules and you don't have to do everything perfectly to make it look good. But I sometimes wonder if I'm not really that good since no one ever taught me to draw, I just learned it myself? I've also been extra good at reading and writing but you know how it is, people think anyone can read and write but only really smart people can do math. People basically know a lot about the stuff that interests them. I love cats so I've read and learned all kinds of things about them, for example. My mother believes that IQ tests and scores are utter nonsense and I think she's probably right. :?

We all have different strengths when it comes to areas of knowledge. But no test can define a persons complete intelligence, especially a standard IQ test. Anyone in their adult years that still hold value in their IQ scores simply use it as a way of projecting themselves to appear more important than they really are. I've never took an official IQ test and never will as it holds no value to me.

An Iq test can show you strong and weak points beyond that knowing the score is useless.

Just my two bits.

Why is school such a big deal for everyone?

(IQ generally equals success in academia and not much else.)

It's not a big deal.

Not all of us choose to have them either, I had the majority of mine done while I was growing up, I certainly didn't choose to do them.

I wish I had never known what mine was, as it really is pointless to know. It certainly hasn't made me good at either math or biology.
