So, is anybody else a lurker on a different message board or community? I know I'm guilty of it.

I don't see the point of lurking other than initially to judge whether to join or not. I'm a member of a few other forums but also post on them. Why lurk?

I often feel as though I'd have nothing productive to say, so I don't bother posting. It's uncomfortable intergrating myself into an already well-established community too. I'm trying to change that as of the last couple of days, but it is a slow process.

Sometimes I check out technical forums, for content, only when I need something from them. But I wouldn't lurk a social forum, I'd either participate or not bother. Nothing fun about watching people I haven't interacted with, talk with each other.
